What is BackToTrip?
BackToTrip is a platform for travel agents, tour operators and Trip Managers. You store your hotels, cars, drivers and places, build itinerary templates with pricing, and share them as one link. Travellers open the link, see the price, join and customise their own trip, while you manage leads, quotes, payments and the live trip from one dashboard.
Who is BackToTrip for?
It is built for Trip Managers: travel agents, tour operators and small travel businesses that sell packages and currently send PDF itineraries and negotiate prices over WhatsApp. Travellers use it too, but they join through a link from their Trip Manager.
How do I get started as a Trip Manager?
Sign up with your phone number, then send a business request from the About BackToTrip page in the app. The BackToTrip team reviews it, and once approved your business is created with you as the Owner. Then add areas and suppliers, build a template, publish it and share the link.
Do my clients need to install an app?
No. A shared trip link opens in any browser with no login, and shows the itinerary and total price. To join and customise the trip, the client signs in with their phone number on the web app or the mobile app.
What does “cook your own trip” mean?
You publish a ready-made trip with a default hotel, car and places. After a client joins, they can swap the hotel or car and add optional places you offered, and the total updates instantly. It is a customisable trip within the choices and prices you set.
Can clients see my costs or margin?
No. Clients only see the total price for the trip and for each choice. Your supplier cost prices, per-option selling prices and margin are visible only on the business side, and only to team members you allow.
How does pricing work for different group sizes?
The pricing engine recalculates the total for the number of travellers: rooms needed, a car with enough seats, and per-person costs. You can preview any group size before publishing, and a manager can adjust a trip’s final price or add a discount.
Can I take payments through BackToTrip?
You can record payments manually today: advances, balances, refunds and reversals by UPI, card, cash or bank, with the reference. Dues and revenue update automatically. Online payment links are not available yet.
Can I invite my team?
Yes. Invite managers by email or phone and give them a role: Owner, Admin, Manager or Viewer. Assign each trip to a manager and control who can see costs and margins.
What happens during the trip?
On the start date the trip becomes Ongoing. Members see today’s plan and the driver’s details, and stops are marked completed by the manager, driver or lead traveller. When the trip ends it moves to Completed.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. BackToTrip runs on the web at app.backtotrip.com and as iOS and Android apps, and shared links are designed for phones first.
How much does BackToTrip cost?
